Raegan Cooper, Human Live Wire—

Raegan Cooper

Director of Business Affairs

Likely one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, Raegan is the multifaceted maven behind the scenes who is ensuring that the operations at Barbershop Films are not only running smoothly but flourishing. An autodidact of sorts, Raegan attended the University of Regina before being drawn into the real estate industry at Royal LePage. It was through that career that Raegan was able to connect with Barbershop CEO Jeremy Drummond, who helped her discover her enormous potential as a business manager and entrepreneur. Starting with Barbershop in 2017, Raegan did everything from coordinating operations to marketing and budgeting to managing clients. In 2018, she helped establish The Bakery – three storefronts in Regina where, as Director of Operations and Marketing, she oversaw essentially everything. Now, back with Barbershop full-time as Director of Business Affairs, Raegan is using her gifts as a business leader and facilitator to help develop policies and procedures, improving operational efficiencies, as well as working in human resources, marketing, company branding and design, and assisting on production when needed. Again, essentially everything. In addition to her warmth, Raegan is a natural multitasker who can communicate with coworkers and CEOs with clarity and ease and loves nothing more than finding solutions to help any business or project run at its full capacity. When not growing businesses, Raegan is usually hanging with her allegedly friendly chihuahua, Luke, travelling to countries where suddenly no one understands her, or swearing at her ball on the golf course.

What’s one irrational fear that you have?

Spiders. I went to hypnotherapy to address my fear of spiders. I couldn’t even look at them, like even a photo of them.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I love to travel, so I would teleport. I could travel anywhere in the world. I wouldn’t have to worry about long flights or road trips. I could visit family or friends all over the world.

What’s your least favourite smell?

I don’t like the smell of fish. Either cooked or that fishy ocean smell. I also don’t like the smell of lime. Too many shots of tequila.

What’s your favourite hand-drying method in public washrooms?

This is the non-economic answer but paper towel. There’s something about those hand dryers that disgust me.

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do with it?

I would pay off all my and my family’s debts. That would be the first thing. Then I would travel as much as I could. And I would donate it to some sort of dog rescue because I love dogs, and they need to have a good chance at life.
