The combined company brings 19 team members and production offices in Regina, Saskatoon, and Vancouver.
REGINA, SK – Barbershop Films and Tandem X Visuals announced today that they have officially merged, forming a single integrated production company with 19 team members and offices across western Canada in Vancouver, Regina, and Saskatoon.
The merger unites Barbershop’s 20-year track record in Saskatchewan, producing industry-leading content for some of Canada’s most recognized organizations with Tandem X’s seven years of deep Saskatchewan production experience. The result is a company with the institutional knowledge and production infrastructure of an established national firm, and the creative energy and ground-level presence of a team that has spent years earning its reputation in this province.
Barbershop Films, formerly known as Studio 10 Productions, was founded in Regina in 2005, and since then has grown to add additional presence in Saskatoon and Vancouver. Barbershop has produced hundreds of creative projects for organizations, including Federated Co-operatives Limited, BHP, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, SaskTel, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Cactus Club Restaurants, and Destination Canada, among many others. Barbershop has created many award-winning campaigns for its clients, including FCL’s Fresh Facilities campaign, which won Best Commercial in Canada and Best Commercial in Saskatchewan at the Yorkton Film Festival in 2025. Jeremy Drummond, CEO of Barbershop Films, said, “I’ve invested 20 years in growing Saskatchewan’s creative industry, and the passion I have for what we do here has never wavered. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Tandem X grow into the company they are today, and bringing these two teams together isn’t just a business decision, it’s an opportunity to show the rest of the country what Saskatchewan’s creative industry is truly capable of.”
Tandem X Visuals was founded in Regina in 2019. In seven years, the company became the official corporate video production partner of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and built a client base across tourism, government, agriculture, and professional sport.Tandem X Visuals has spent seven years developing not just a production team, but a production philosophy. One rooted in data-driven creative, AI-integrated workflows, and a relentless focus on what makes content actually perform. That foundation doesn’t just complement Barbershop’s experience; it accelerates it.
“We started Tandem X Visuals in 2019 because I believed Saskatchewan deserved to share its messages with the world while showcasing the beauty of our province. Seven years later, we’re still on that same mission, just with a much better team beside us. I’m genuinely humbled to be part of growing Western Canada’s creative industry alongside the rest of the Barbershop team. This merger is what happens when you show up every day, do good work, and stay open to what comes next. I can’t wait to show everyone what we’re capable of now.” Said Josh Stewart-Van Dusen, CEO, Tandem X Visuals.
This merger represents a major doubling down on investment in Saskatchewan production. With incredible allies such as Creative Saskatchewan and ScreenSask, there has never been a better time to utilize the resources and talent within the province. Barbershop Films is perfectly positioned to champion this effort with its unmatched Western-Canadian and local presence.
